Statement on Senate and House Critical Manufacturing Tax Policies Agreement

The announced agreement between Senate and House tax leaders on critical manufacturing tax policies, including an extension of the 100% expensing tax provision, is an encouraging development.

The following statement can be attributed to Jonathan Spalter, USTelecom President & CEO.

With an eye on closing the digital divide, broadband providers are intensely focused on swift and efficient broadband deployment. Sustaining the 100% expensing tax provision is absolutely critical to making Internet for All a reality. Not only will it encourage investment, but the provision also will spur more broadband deployment as providers prepare to go to work on BEAD projects. I encourage Congress to swiftly extend the full expensing benefit that will help drive our collective goal of universal connectivity.
